  • "Katie has been a great help to our seven year old son. He was having a hard time during the 3rd lockdown (2021) and Katie really helped not just with his school work, but also his emotional wellbeing. Before her first session with him, he was refusing to write a single sentence, but Katie got him expressing himself and writing again. She brought worksheets, books and activities but tailored the sessions to exactly what was needed each time. She even spent time after each session summarising what she'd learned was working for him so that we could continue working with him in between sessions. We highly recommend Katie; she was a huge help to our son (and us!) during some very trying times. "

  • Thank you for everything you do Katie. You were the pivot point in our child's life and things got so much better once you got involved. I'd call it educational fairy dust but that doesn't do it justice - to think where our teen has got to now, from where they were is directly related to the confidence you gave them. Thank you! <3 You better put this on your socials!!

  • “ Katie is such a fantastic mentor- she totally gets my daughter (who is dyslexic and has often felt under-confident in her school academic work). As well as teaching Japanese - the language and the culture - Katie is the most supportive and caring role model for my daughter, it's not just the Japanese, it's that my daughter comes away feeling good about herself. I don't quite know how Katie does it, but she just has a skill in making children feel heard and important and valid. I am so very glad we found Katie and highly recommend her tutoring skills. Using Katie could be the best thing you ever do for your child whilst they are growing and finding out who they are. Thank you Katie - we so appreciate you xxx"

  • “Myself and my son met Katie last October, my son 15 at the time and just found out he has ADHD. He was struggling big time and Katie was amazing, not only through her tutoring but she gave our family so much support. My son didn't have any support at school and GCSES weren't looking great at all. Katie worked a lot with him on his English Language and from going from just getting 1 GCSE in his mocks, he now has the 4 to go to his football college and got an amazing 5 in English Language! Thanks Katie your support has been great and we really appreciate what you did for him”

  • “It reinforced the way that I try to support a number of children that I come across in my day. I will sometimes be questioned by others about why I am "treating" a child in a certain way and this training made me think "yes, I am doing my best to try to help and support". In my role, the relationship with the child is massive. It has to be solid and when you have this, everything falls naturally in to place (mostly!).”
